Anja Jonkhans

Anja Jonkhans is an architect and researcher. In addition to her role as a faculty member in the Department of Building Construction at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, she frequently assumes the position of an international guest critic and scientific reviewer. Her teaching and research subjects are facade construction and drafting techniques. From 2019 to 2025, she occupied the position of Head of the Senate of the University of Applied Arts.
She was employed by Alsop Architects and Grimshaw Architects in London, and she was a founding partner of Spacelab/UK with Peter Cook and Colin Fournier for the Kunsthaus Graz museum.
She received her Diploma and Masters degree in architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), London, where she was awarded scholarships from Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, Sir Henry Herbert Bartlett-Scholarship and Regierungsrat Paul Meyer-Stiftung.
