Bioinspired Surfaces for Evaporation Cooling of Building Facades

 

The BIOCOOL project was a one-year study from 2021-2022 funded by FFG Austrian Research Promotion
Agency, that explored the transfer of morphological principles from biology to form-optimized architectural
surfaces for climate control of building envelopes, through the generation of ceramic prototypes for laboratory as
well as outdoor performance testing and conceptual systems integration.
